При этом палестинское движение ХАМАС должно быть разоружено, а сектор Газа демилитаризирован.
Премьер-министр Израиля назвал предложенную Трампом «сделку века» реалистичным путем к прочному миру. В свою очередь Палестина и арабские страны документ раскритиковали. «Иерусалим не продается, все наши права не продаются и не являются предметом торга. А ваша сделка, заговор, не пройдет», — заявил тогда Аббас. Он добавил, что Палестина не сдастся и не примет эту «пощечину века».
