12 отечественных спортсменов не приехали на первенство из-за дисквалификаций
Призер Олимпийских игр 2012 года в Лондоне пятикратная чемпионка мира Татьяна Каширина завоевала «серебро» чемпионата мира по тяжелой атлетике (свыше 87 кг). И это единственная медаль для российской сборной за весь турнир.

Когда на чемпионате Европы этого года Татьяна установила два мировых рекорда, то осталась собой недовольна. На вопрос «МК», почему бы и не порадоваться, ответила вполне конкретно: «Хочется идти вперед. Сейчас сильные соперницы в Китае, новенькая одна спортсменка появилась, молоденькая. Ей 19 лет, а поднимает уже на моем уровне. Расслабляться некогда, работаем. Тренировки в обычном режиме — ночуем в зале, можно сказать. Тренер мой, Владимир Станиславович Краснов, сказал: будем работать над ошибками. Мы ведь имеем дело с запредельным весом, ошибки на турнирах допускают все. Будем исправлять».
Ли Вэньвэн, о которой и говорила Татьяна, в Паттайе побила два мировых рекорда Кашириной — в толчке и по сумме — и повторила ее рекорд в рывке. Каширина показала результат 318 кг в сумме (140 кг в рывке и 178 кг в толчке). Китаянка в сумме набрала 332 кг (146 кг в рывке и 186 кг в толчке). Третье место заняла китаянка Мэн Супин.
Татьяна не зря расстраивалась на чемпионате Европы. Соперницы на чемпионате мира показали высочайший уровень. Китай стал вообще безоговорочным лидером: 10 золотых медалей.
К чемпионату мира Каширина подошла не без проблем: травма не дала подготовиться так, как хотелось бы и как было необходимо для борьбы с очень серьезными соперницами. И даже, как говорит тренер Владимир Краснов, были мысли о том, чтобы выбрать другой квалификационный турнир для Олимпийских игр. (По новым правилам для участия в Играх спортсмену нужно участвовать в шести турнирах.) И все же — боролась как могла.
Команда России приехала на чемпионат мира обескровленной. Еще в августе IWF временно отстранила 12 российских тяжелоатлетов на основании доказательств, полученных по результатам расследования Ричарда Макларена, и данных московской лаборатории. А уже по ходу турнира полыхнул скандал с пробами, способный лишить наших спортсменов Олимпийских игр в Токио.
Татьяна Каширина в составе российской команды была единственной надеждой на медаль чемпионата мира. Так и произошло: сборная уезжает с одной медалью.
